Troutbeck is a stunning guesthouse located opposite the Michelin starred Red Lion at East Chisenbury. It’s a surprising discovery in a small Wiltshire village.
Guy and Brittany Manning, owners of both the Red Lion and Troutbeck, set about designing and fitting out Troutbeck in what they call a typically “cheffie” way. “A good bed and a good shower were key ingredients and we like to make sure our guests have everything they need just as we would in the restaurant”.
There are five beautiful en-suite guest rooms, each one designed to feel more like a home than a hotel - with hardwood floors, a real bed, the best linen possible and plenty of little touches and quirky pieces that give the rooms character and warmth.
The views are a real wow factor. The four-panel floor to ceiling doors fold back, so the sun terrace and fabulous scenery become part of the room.
Visitors often book for dinner and then stay at Troutbeck to relax for a while. For those who like to explore, Salisbury Plain is on the doorstep and Stonehenge is fifteen minutes away.
